Urban Beekeeping 101
Length: 1.5 hours
Date: Available by request (min. 10 participants)
Cost: $5 per participant
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to get started in backyard beekeeping & honey bee 101. You’ll also be able to check out our backyard hives and take a look through the observation windows to see the bees live in action!

DIY Reusable Food Wrap
Length: 1.5-2 hours
Date: Available by request (min. 4 participants)
Cost: $15 per participant
In this workshop, you’ll get to make reusable food wrap with beeswax!
You will learn a couple of different ways to make reusable food wrap and get to take home at least one large sheet, which you can cut into smaller sheets with pinking shears.
All materials will be provided, but if you have some cotton fabric with a nice design that you would like to make into reusable food wrap please feel free to bring it. (Ideal size of the fabric is no larger than 14.5×20.5″ and it should be about the thickness of a bed sheet with a tight weave).
Participants will also be able to check out our backyard hives and take a look through the observation windows to see the bees live in action!

Honey & Jun Tasting
Length: 1.5 hours
Date: Available by request (min. 10 participants)
Cost: $5 per participant
This workshop will feature a local honey & jun tasting while learning about their benefits & how to make them!
Some of the different types of honey you will get to sample will come from various areas across BC.
Jun is sweetened fermented tea similar to kombucha, but is made with green tea and honey instead of black tea & refined sugar.
Participants will also bee able to check out our backyard hives and take a look through the observation windows to see the bees live in action!
